Hi, my tm is dumping water. It's dumping it from the heat control valve into the waste tank. Thinking it must be a dodgy valve, prochem don't have them in stock. Noticed it as I was ddescaling the machine . Anyone have these fail before.

Are you using the chemical injection?

If not divert the dumping water back into your fresh tank.

Great idea Mike, but I do use the chem feed. Wondering could I disconnect the hose , it's blocking the hole in the tank that might cause a problem

It's not a good idea, doing this will cause too great a temp rise in the fresh tank that will lead to pump cavitaion and all sorts of other problems.

Hi Glynn , can't see it been that much of a problem. It's only a blazer xl, so can't see it getting that hot in the fresh water tank to cause that much of a problem.

It won't be a problem I've done it for years the fresh tank holds so much water it impossible for bypassing water to raise the temp higher enough to cause pump problems

My water bypasses into the fresh tank every time I let go of the wand trigger, the water in the tank never get really hot

Think that's the way to go, anyone know where you might get the valve, prochem don't have them in stock and where not sure when they would.

That valve is there for a reason. If you redirect the bypassed water back to your water tank, it will heat up the water in the tank, especially if you have a small tank and even more so as the tank level drops towards empty where the hot water has a greater effect on the remaining cold water.
The purpose of that valve is to protect the machine from getting excessively hot and when it senses the temp is too high allows hot water to be dumped into the recovery tank. So if by redirecting it to the water tank the machine cannot cool itself because instead of getting  cold water to cool itself, it's getting warm or hot water, you end up with a situation where the machine gets ever hotter and end up with a very expensive problem on your hands. The valve may only need to be taken to bits as sometimes they clog up with junk and get stuck open. But it could also just be doing its job and be symptomatic of another problem occurring in the system.

Come to think of it, I found some kind of rubber seal in the female pressure hose connect when i disconnected the presssure hose. Apart from prochem, would any other uk supplier stock these valves ?

Most truckmounts are fitted with these bypass valves, try HM  see if they stock them.

I'm sure I've seen electronic version of them as we which are adjustable .

But with airfreight I get you could get one from the states sent over pretty quick.

I'm sure those valves come apart. It's only an electromagnet that raises and lowers a pin to allow water to pass. It's probably just blocked. Try that first before ordering a new one, they ain't cheap.

True Simon, 60 pounds . Yeah going to take it apart tomorrow, I can be a anal git when things wrong with my machines, just not happy till there fixed .
