You say that Deangsi in the last 4 weeks Ive had cleaners ringing me complaining about 3 different canvassing crews, I just think these canvassers dont understand the industry, and believe the customers at the door.

In answer to the initial question Ive been paying my canvassers £60 a day, and there told to target front onlys, with the minimum target of 10 customers a day, with a small bonus for 15+

Hope this helps

How often do they hit the 10 customer target?

Everytime pretty much I do cut a little slack so if they hit say 12 on Monday 13 on Tuesday and 8 on Wednesday for example Ill pay the rate, but I will word them to up on Thursday. We do long days so its quite hard not to hit 10

What do you define as a long day?

I hit 1 new customer per hour (to clarify I don't assault them, get new customer is what I mean).

Is that about right as a ratio?

I've always thought canvassing before 5pm is pointless as less people home, but I'm guessing you have proved that to be wrong.

You'll have to give me a ring/email crystal for more info,

I try to get out for about 12 and have a decent break about 4 then back on it again from 5 till 7 in the winter, and 8 in the summer. It can sometimes get a bit soul destroying around 2 ish as the doors dont open much but I just power thru it and make the most of the contacts.

1 an hour is quite standard, I dont hang around too long at the door waiting for an answer, and pretty much run from house to house, I personally average 15-20 a day so about 2.5 an hour
