Rotary Problem
«

I'm sure there's an easy solution. We've got an old 17" Victor Rotary that works fine but only if you raise it slightly off the ground to get it spinning then lower it to the floor. It's now negated using it as only a brush will stay on so we can't use it for bonnet cleaning. Does anyone have any idea what's gone wrong with it. I suspect a capacitor or something similar but have no idea which one?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Simon

Guessing a capacitor has gone, as sounds like the same symptoms as mine and that solved it, grab one off rs.

Its defo the START capacitor, but i would also swap out the RUN capacitor while you have the machine stripped down!

Rs, where I got mine, did call A3 machines, but they didn't get back to me, just write down the numbers on the cap you take out, it's a motor start cap.
