I want to start using more on wet days any tip on how I can do so safely without blowing my self up with electric vac going

Cover the plug and extension with a plastic bag? The on/off switch on the vac should be sealed anyway.

Yes,
They are designed to be used in a wet environment. Cleaning/stripping floors.
