This is only my opinion but I think these fancy controller gadgets are a waste of money.
I have a mk1 analogue controller from spring ( when they were formerly crow electro ) 10 years old now and very basic, just contols flow and nothing else, simple and faultless. i tried the digital version with dead end detection, battery level , calibration blah blah and hated it, was forever fiddling with the settings (now in my toolbox).
unfortunately they no longer sell the mk1, but others here have made their own or bought a dial from ebay, maplins and the like.
Read how many posts there are about flow controller problems on here !
A remote one is just another thing to go wrong, you don't need to turn the flow off remotely, a tap on the end of your hose or pole will do that.

If I was to buy a controller again I'd take ross's advice.

Gordon

The remote control I use is attached to a belt loop on my trousers which had also worked faultlessly for maybe upwards of 5 years.

The fob is on it's way out so I now have the expense of buying a replacement at £1.99 incl postage. Damn.

Even if it packs up tomorrow before the replacement arrives, I've fitted an equally highly complex and expensive 3 way switch that by passes the remote and all I'll do is kink the hose to stop the flow.

Once you get a tank you won't need a controller unless it's tiny or you plan to work very long hours ;D

The one I bought is no longer listed but almost any 12 volt dc remote control unit will do that will switch, so I've been told, up to about 10amps. The one I have is rated for 8 amps.

The remote is really meant for line of site but mine seems to work around the back of most buildings if it's all on the same level.
