« on: November 11, 2014, 08:13:01 pm »
Hi guys just wanted to know how much people are paying for flyer delivery. I can get 1000 delivered for £60 i am looking to have 1000 delivered every month untill my roand is up to what i want it to be. My flyer is a quote sheet so most prices are on there complex jobs require a quote. How many jobs can i expect to get per 1000 flyers

1000 f0r £60 sounds high?

If you got 10 000 at once youd most likely pay half that or less

delivery tends to be about £30 a 1000 +

results depend on area , out of 1000 a month over a year i reckon youll get upto 5% at least, calls that is , conversion is a different matter but ive alwys found leaflet customers to stick really well

The only way that somebody could deliver 1000 leaflets for £30 is if they have 10 others to deliver at the
same time.
Even in a compact area it would take a full day to deliver 1000 leaflets plus the expenses.
Even £60 sounds cheap.

0.5 % return is average.

Deangsi deliver them yourself its good exercise and you will know they have been delivered and not buried under a pile
of others.
Plus you will nearly always get talking to somebody while out and maybe pick up some custom.
If dropping in small amounts I think its better to do it yourself.

Really dont think flyers are worth it.

ive delivered about 10k flyers over past two years, different flyers for car valeting, pressure washing and window cleaning - maybe 10 jobs off them and a few more enquires. I also had 4k delivered by a company think i got 3 calls - poope imo

depends what your trying to achieve.

Ive been at this 5 years or so now and have a full round so not looking to increase numbers quickly and in a large volume .. if I was then I would canvass ..... personally now just want add on jobs ... gutters, connies, fsg, pressure washing if you like the better hourly paying jobs however if I get the odd quality window customers into the deal then fine.

Theres a few lads on here who have built massive businesses all thru leaflet dropping one of them has just swapped a porshe for an audi r8 so I rekon he is happy with leaflets even if he does drop 250'000 a year  :o :o :o ...

however getting back to OP for solus leaflet drops then prob circa £80 to £100 per thou ..... for a batch drop eg yours with maybe 5 other leaflets then £30 per thou about the norm

Cheers for the comments guys il bear it in mind, mite just do a few myself and go canvassing instead iv always had good results from canvassing. Just wondered how flyers alone would get on. Im only looking for about £500 extra work now and that's me done as a one man band. 1 decent commercial job and a few houses could see to this lol  ;D

Easy peasy deangsi
50x10 houses or 25x20 houses. Or as said a nice commercial job.
To gain 50 £10 houses from leaflets would take quite a while where as you could have them canvassed in as little as a week if you tried hard.

That's it im inspired lol, im gunna get ahead this week which im already on target for then take 4 days out of next week to canvass, will go out this Saturday to :) cheers guys

Mick when your canvassing do you bother knocking on the houses that look clean like they defo have a cleaner or just the dirty once. I always used to knock every single house but fear I mite be wasting time. I don't have the time to waste these days like a couple of years ago lol

personaly i dont knock on every door as i see it as a waste of time. best to target a list of min 100 dirty houses in a half decent area and knock those as you will know you stand half a chance and to save wasting time knocking on houses where they do them thereselfs or already have a cleaner, many will say knock every door but after trying many methods from building myself up over the years i found this way far surerior than any other method.. failing that target sold boards, within 3 or 4 months you will get your extra £500 that way.

LOL. So you come on here asking for prices on leafleting and a few window cleaners tell you leafleting doesn't work and decide you won't bother. I bump into windowcleaners all the time that say leafleting doesn't work, yet I can't keep up with my work and am expanding and they haven't got full rounds. When I tell them all my work came from leafleting, they tell me leafleting doesn't work.  ::)roll

Leaflets simply don't work.  Waste of money.  Avoid at all costs.

Flyers, like any kind of marketing needs to be ongoing. I think it was Smudger that posted intelligently on this the other day. If you stand still, you will be going backwards. You will forever be losing customers. At times they seem to drop like flies. Anyone who thinks that they can grow by just word of mouth is either misguided or very cheap.

About 60 customers from canvassing the rest word of mouth, will admit I was slightly under priced
when starting out but I'm not now.
I think Iv turned away about 50 or more this year alone as I'm full to busting, upping my prices in the new year
to hopefully take the pressure off.
I would be wondering what was wrong if my customers were not recommending me to others.
