Took the day off today to get my end of year accounts done. My year runs from October 1st 2012- September 30th 2013. Still submitted the same time as everyone else though.
Only took me 12 hours, as I don't touch them during the rest of the year. I just file the receipts and bank statements and put it all into a spreadsheet once a year.
How the hell anyone with a reasonable sized business can get their expenses below £5k is beyond me. I remember a recent posting with lots of people saying £5k was a lot of money to be spending each year. If mine was £5k I'd be a rich man this year
