customers respond to price
« on: October 16, 2014, 01:18:59 pm »
Ok. had a few thousand leaflets banged out cheap. Had a few calls. Had a call from a nice small estate. all 5 bed type. My brother lives on that street and I knew there was 2 water fed pole windys already. So I asked not to do that area. Anyway they did. My brother pays 6.50 and it a 4 bed with large extension. I wasn't going to compere, so stayed clear.
Gets this quote on his street, so thought Stuff It. I went and it was, what looked like a 3 bed semi. Small windows. A massive extension on with 2 letter box windows, nothing else. Very odd. So it was like cleaning half a semi. There was an out building with French doors. I asked if she required that cleaning. She said daughter cleans it, but depends on how much. I said £10 as I wasn't that interested unless it paid to enter street. "£10" IS THAT ALL.  Yes that's fine.
You know when you wish you quoted more lmao. Apparently. Other WFP guy is rubbish. Misses window and comes when he wants. He is an old guy who has gangs of guys banging them out. 1 does front and other does round back.
A few people have cancelled, so could be good. He was on "Come Dine With Me" could have put customers off :)

This really ties in with the canvassing thread never pre judge any area or house

The good news is you got the price you wanted and the customer is happy as well
