Apparently a dark mark has appeared.

Had a feeling this lady would be trouble............

Simple carpet clean on a standard Poly in a child's bedroom and the women comes back 1 week later (although it appeared the day after apparently) saying there is a large dark mark appeared?

Just for clarity all furniture was white and covered up and the mark is in the middle of the carpet?

Any suggestions what might have gone wrong? If anything?

Thanks

Could be wickback, or maybe she has spilt something?

You should be able to sus it if she has spilt something though, a ph check should help aswell i.e. if you know you left the carpet at a particular ph level, if it comes up acidic then she may have spilt a drink (if the drink was acidic of course).

I would bite the bullet and check. If its wickback then use something to not put moisture into the backing i.e. saphire/cfr handtool, or even blot with your preferred choice of cleaning agent.

Len could be right I had one once turned out to be the shadow of the black fire place but my head was in spin for a while.

Had another on rental turned out to be shadows through patio door
