Simon you're spoilt with your tm so comparing yours to the etm is a bit silly yours would suck it up. I was suitably impressed with the etm at 100ft, I used my bane with 2 vac blowers it was quite a hassle.

IMO if you get a tm get one from a supplier you like, also I'd get a big one the engine will not be running it's knackers off.

Shaun,
I've got a Maxx 450d as well as the 875 and while the 875 could suck a bowling ball out of a closet with the door closed, the 450 isn't quite as powerful but very economical and highly reliable. To even contemplate an ETM you have to be certain that you can pull up at every door or driveway and sometimes that just isn't possible, so you have got to run not only hoses to the job but at least two power cables across pavements and grass etc with the obvious safety concerns that go with it.

OOOPS!

Didnt mean to start another tm v porty debate...dont fancy an ETM tho kinda defeats the object
heard a rumour that prochem were setting up a in the north, if that were the case then a blazer would be a good choice

Richard - I would not worry unduly about whether Prochem have a depot up north or indeed where any tm supplier is based - once the first year warranty expires its probably more important you have located someone you can trust locally who will sort out the occasional niggle you will get with using an IC engine day in day out. My experience of trucking all the way up to chessington world of adventure was not good on both occasions where I needed to get things done very quickly and I was not impressed with their customer service levels or their approach to the customer or their prices of parts (lots of them are available off the shelf elsewhere at much less) - all well and good if you can plan regular maintenance at the official/importer/ warranty provider first off after all it is 'their' brand you are buying and the service level should be a part of what you pay for at the outset - I found HM much more user friendly when I went there but as my machine is a pc I eventually found a small company that specialised in small petrol engined cleaning machines who provide a fantastic level of service and knowhow and are just very decent people to do business with - super-service near wallingford oxon contact bob...

Local petrol lawnmower repairer can usually help with little niggles on the 318 Briggs engine.
