Could have done a bit of upselling as well while he was there.... ;D
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

It just goes to show you don't know who's around you, I have a customer who looks a white as white but that's because of the snow he's dealing allegedly.

gwrightson .... I will never pass on work ever again. I have done it about 4 times trying to do customers a favour because I could not fit them in and every time something has gone badly wrong! The last guy I passed a job to was the last straw. A young lad rang me sounding in almost tears because he had a party and his parents where coming back the same day, like a scene from a yellow pages ad  ;D I felt sorry for him so passed on the work to someone I had met before and seemed ok. The next thing I knew an irate father called me in the afternoon saying why has his soon been charged £250 for 30 minutes of shoddy work and then escorted to the cash machine to draw it out  :o The dad soon realised I was only trying to do his son a favour but I felt guilty after. The operator owns a very well known local company but when I called him he just blamed the customer! Their are some real cowboys in our industry, that is why I have stopped sub contracting as I have had problems with all of them too and the last guy I used said he had done it for 20 years but was terrible and was about to use a solvent based pre-spray on bitumen backed tiles!  :o Lucky I checked what he was using. I have 4 workers now to call on who are all trained by me for commercial work who I know I can trust.

I cleaned carpets for this chap every year for about 10 years. Nice bloke. He had over £6 million in assets he couldn't account for. ;)
