I used to do abit of pressure cleaning but couldnt hack it and stayed with the windows

Anyway my brother has just had this indian sandstone patio layed, and i advised him to get a sealer put on it.
He was unsure about it and said he likes it now, so i explained how a sealer would enhance the colour and protect the slabs.
Have any of you got some before and after photos of a sealed indian sandstone patio?
Also some names of quality sealers.

Kev Martin is your man. He does colour enhancing penetrating sealers.

I'd use either Aquamix enrich n seal or the Miracle version. ( both from Kev). It will make the floor look amazing

So are you advising not to use a sealer? Or just use a high quality one

Topical sealers cause the surface to go shiny because they create a layer of sealer on the surface.
Penetrating sealers like the ones from Kev soak into the stone and leave the surface the same, just the colour is enhanced.

We are registered resiblock installers but we wouldn't seal anything anymore. More hassle than it's worth and it doesn't do what it says on the tin.

Why didn't you just strip the sealant??

an didn't want to risk it. We tend to swerve risky jobs. Especially with sandstone being so porous to staining.

Easy enough to do and if it was a "gypsy" job, then it isn't going to be an expensive sealer is it?
I'm using Kevin's Aqua-mix products for some of the Natural Stone strip's we do and they seem to work.

Risky? Whats risky about it?

You could charge them a premium to strip it if its going to cost them 12k to replace....If you don't want to do it i will if you give me the details, ill give you £100 for the job.
