« on: July 10, 2014, 07:14:29 pm »
Just got my PA6 today and i need a knapsac i really want a berthoud but i cant justify spending over £160 on a sprayer. So is there any other decent brands of knapsac that i can get for around the £80 mark? what do you use?

Any sprayer will be ok until it fails but the thing is can you buy spares for it ? I have the solo but also gloria's for carpets and hypo. Try these people as they carry parts for the products they sell

http://www.solosprayers.co.uk/index.php

We stock a wide range of sprayers for many different purposes including Horticultural, Agricultural and Industrial use. We have a sprayer for every job in the garden, on the farm, and for construction and industry. The service provided by us is second to none. Spare parts are always available from us and sprayers can be sent back to be serviced.

Solo's  for caustic and bleach ...due to none metalic construction.
Glorias for anything else. I have used the Glorias for years with very few problems. The make you cry when paying for them ...but work out very cheap in the long run.

We have one of these also http://www.cooper-pegler.com/-846249--3--a.htm but I would buy a Solo if i were  to replace it. I think the Solo is actually a better sprayer ( and cheaper) although most would disagree
Cheers , out off my price range at the moment. Its looking like I'm going to have to spend a bit more than i wanted if I want some thing half decent.

I bought a back back sprayer the other week, only used it once then lashed it to the back of the workshop because the hypo was all over my back and my polo is ruined now.... does anyone else have this problem? Mine was a cheap one from screwfix, it did the job well but there was a lot of spillage. Do the solo sprayers not spill?

You probably filled it then put it on before you pumped it up - the vent needs pressure to close, you need to pressurise it before putting it on. I use a stainless gloria for hypo and never use the sling, the solo I use for weed killer. Keep an eye on e bay for cheap ones - I have 3 - hypo, carpets, pest control

My mate got banned from Screwfix ! They kept telling him they were not a dating agency  ::)roll

I have been using one of these for a couple of months for the Hypo, and so far it has been very good -

Just to add you need to buy the additional sparayer connection ( plastic ) from the same seller  ;D
