My mechanic couldnt find anything wrong with it because the van wouldnt make the noise for the 30mins i was there grrrr!
He looked over all the belts and said nothing looks worn and to just take it over to him next time it makes the noise

That noise in the video is from the belt tensioner.

Which belt though lol

The mechanic didnt want to go fixing something that wasnt broken, and as he couldnt find an issue he just said whenever it happens again take it to him so he can see were the noise is coming from

I had the same noise on my Nissan Primera it was the belt tensioner on the alternator belt.
At first the noise was worse when ticking over and would disappear when driving or when the engine had warmed.
It got gradually worse.

This sounds very similar, was it a cheap fix?

I honestly don't know, got it fixed under the warranty at the time. I don't think its a major job though.

I had a tension pulley replaced on my Connect about 2 years ago - cost about £60.

It made a racket when idling or slowing down but went quiet when accelerating.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.
