Today I was taking the Y strainer filter off to clean
(the one that is on the side of the water tank)
and the joint came away from the water tank leaving just a hole
can anyone suggest a quick fix to get me back working again as im losing money having to postpone work
Ps it a Hydramaster Boxer 421

Bob,
Stuff a cloth in it to block up the hole.
Don't fill the tank fully.
Live feed the machine and don't use the tank.

Thanks Simon
Im thinking if i can block that hole with something similar to that epoxy stuff then i couls attach a longer hose from small pump directly into tank, failing that drilling a whole nearer the front of the tank and having a new connection fitted, would that work?

Bob,
Try and get it welded if you can.
Best to get a patch over it as the aluminium has probably corroded over the years.
