Bought the NILFISK MULTI 30
« on: June 14, 2014, 10:30:31 am »
Now what?

the instructions are horrendous,  it says the filter is wet dry but on this forum someone said take the filter out when using it as a gutter vac.

Is there anyone with previous experience with this van got any tips on how to proceed.

should I take the filter out and use the bag that is with it?

any other tips to save me learning the hard way would be appreciated.

I use this vacuum for gutters. Filter needs to be left in otherwise you will clog up the motor and cause damage. Using the bag is a waste of time as that is really designed for collecting dust.  The muck that comes out of gutters will soon fill the bag and possibly rip it to shreds.

thanks for the info.

do you use it on no 1 for gutters or do you use the no 2 setting?

You will find the vacuum only works on number 1. Number 2 is when you use a tool perhaps a sander plugged in to vacuum. When you tool starts so does vacuum automatically.
Hope this helps.

I use this vac all the time on gutters , don't run it without fiter, and wouldn't bother with vacuum bag. When you've done a sludgy wet gutter just remove the filter and wash it out and let it dry ready for next use. Been a good vac.

If it doesn't suck up the manly stuff then you can always stick your pinny on and use it to suck up the dust from around your telly!
