Do the general public think that us CC'ers are sat around all day waiting for their calls?

Over the last few months I have lost count of the number of callers Ive had expecting their carpets cleaned that very day or tomorrow.

Had a call today asking for a price and availability - when I said next week is now the earliest I can do he seemed shocked and said he was expecting it to be done tomorrow!!!

One caller on Tuesday wanted the job done that very afternoon.

What are others view of this - am lucky that I nearly always have a few days booked in front or are the public stupid with their expectations?

This job would be easy if it were not for the public...

They expect us to be sat around I think.... and damned grateful for their call..

 ;D ;D
Everyday this forum slips further from God.  :'(

I divert my calls to my mobile and once I had a lady who lived down the road wanting a carpet cleaned, she said it's only a small carpet you can come down now and do it I've got the furniture out, expecting me to be waiting for her call and act immediately upon it.....I was in the south of France at the time ;D

It's the culture now, people expect things ASAP, I'll admit I'm the same. If I want something I expect it almost instantly, I'm obviously understanding if it can be done but that's the way the world is now.

I'd agree though, they amount of people calling recently wanting immediate jobs is crazy, it's so easy for them just to find someone else.

My next free date is now the 11th :)

In the us they have acknowledged this and accepted it you can even get furniture delivered same day they do it 24/7 knowing full well that if you decide to buy they want your money, we'd have to change our ways and mentality as we still think that we are clocking in and out from a factory.
