I was trying to talk to a customer on phone who was to put it politely a pain ,then I saw this come up and turned into a giggling school boy who was trying not to laugh ....I had to hand the phone over to my work mate  and he was laughing also ,we were pushing the phone away from ourselves like a couple of school kids ......This thread has to be renamed ...funny things we have done to customers !!!!!

To avoid this in the future, why don't you have a "work completed" doc? We use these on every job, domestic or commercial. Once the job is signed off, there's no way to avoid full payment. Simple to set up, and print out on A5.

It's only £60, it will cost you more than that to have half a day off to go to court. Put it down to experience and move on.

its the principal that matters
in 9 years I HAVE NEVER NOT BEEN PAID,
when I DONT GET PAID AT THE END OF A JOB - I HOUND THEM DAILY till they pay,
1 st text will be next day - just checked bank and no payment are you paying with details left or shall I collect a cheque;I can come today at 4, or 6 30 or 8pm which is best, let me know please,
that usually sorts the miniscule per cent that dont pay on the day ,
