Why is that bad news Ian?

people only search for "carpet cleaner" if they don't have one that they use regularly..

So it may be bad news for new carpet cleaners who solely rely on the internet for business, but any established cleaners or cleaners who use various methods of marketing it makes not a fetid dingo's kidney what is trending or not on google...

I dont have a website, as ive never needed one and somone who is not that many years from retireing I  dont give a monkeys toss about the internett, I have been in the business 25 years this july  and as hector says there are a lot of other ways to get business , I still make about 20k a year from yellow pages arnd thats new clients apart from my comercial  maintenance work that is more than 75% of our anual income

just cos its going down on google doesn't mean its not going up somewhere else, find out where and move some of your budget towards it.

The good news is it will pick up in December.

They will be telling us that Easter egg sales won't start picking up till next Feb next.

Even though were on page 1 of Google for many keywords such as carpet cleaners leeds, carpet cleaning leeds and other keywords, as well as getting a lot of work through the net, we are getting more and more from referrals and repeat custom.

It'll stop the endless sites popping up from nowhere and taking all Paul moss's ideas and work lol

The cash cow Google may be putting it out there for you to start an Adwords campaign who knows.

I don't believe stats like that but I do think Bing is starting to erode some of Google's market share, in a lot of ways the results are clearer.
