vertical markets ??
I just wondered what approach people take. I was thinking tackling vertical markets using Yell as a data source. So dental practices, care homes, nurseries and so on. I just wondered what others did.

Well you could, but a plan would be better. With domestic work you wouldn't target council estates if you had a brand new van and Ionics system. Similarly, there is no point targeting multinationals. It's a case of identifying target markets where decisions are likely to be made locally and there is a need to have their windows cleaned. I don't have much commercial work and was wondering how those that used telesales identified prospects. [/quoteWhy wouldn't you target council estates with a new van and an Ionic system? Some of my best customers are from council estates.

I generally find that they are full of teenagers with babies watching Jeremy Kyle. There are obviously exceptions.
