loving the new van!
« on: April 10, 2014, 07:15:31 pm »
first day working today with new 500L tank installed in van. ;D

great!no swaying of van when half full.i also squeezed another two £20 jobs in with water to spare at the end of the day.went out with about 450L today.

the connect t230 pulls really well and handles the weight easily.the side door is so handy!i dont know how i managed for 4 years without one! ;D

4 new tyres getting fitted sat and vinyl wrap and sign writing next week(hopefully) ;)

this van is perfect for a one man operation IMO.

regards

i down sized from a transit to a citroen despatch 1.9 non turbo .its a bit slughish but the twin side doors come very handy.so i can put up with the lack of speed  ;D.

That lack of speed is losing you money.
A 2.0 turbo could fit in atleast an extra £20 job per day because you'd be faster on the hills ! Thats potentially an extra £5200 pa  ;D

You will get family members asking you to pick large items up now!!!

This year i have picked up a quad.
Moved a bed, sofa, another bed, wardobe and a motorbike.

That's the only thing with having a big van Adam !!!!
Family and friends seem to take the P !!!!
I stopped all that as it was getting silly. If an axle went I can't see them paying for it plus loss of money. If I'm asked I say nah sorry work only incase something breaks I can't afford to be out of work, no one asks me anymore. I once had a brand new Renault traffic a few years ago now and a mate asked if I could pick up some wood. I got to his mates garden it was old lengths of wood where he was just lobbing it in my van didn't give a crap I had all scratches where the wood had nails all down the panels never again. 😳😳😳😬
