Solution's SMP thoughts? plus parts for air mover
« on: March 31, 2014, 07:50:46 pm »
i'm looking to get a 9" fan wheel for my prochem air mover but struggling to find anything in the uk. i've messaged prochem but thought i'd see if anyone here can recommend somewehre which sells them.

the part numbeR: G11826 9" FAN WHEEL

also just having a clear out of products we've bought over the years and never used. SMP from solution is one of them, well we tried it a couple times and went back to what we knew worked.

wondering what the general thought is on this forum? on clean talk they seem to cum all over it but i'm not sure if that's just simply because it's clean talk's product.

But is the question a question about the original question or is it a question based on the answer from your question.

Too many questions unanswered here.

I don't think repairing dryers is feasible, you might as well chuck it and buy a new one, I see them on ebay all the time.

The time invested looking for parts is not worth the time

I think Mike wants to join in.
Is the time spent equal or less than time spent repairing a machine when time could be used more efficiently timing logistical marketing stratergies at different times of the day.

On a serious note though it's called SPM not SMP, that is something I fortunately won't have to fork out for the employee who's been with me 2 month.

It's also a very good product, you should try it. Plenty of decent agitation and no dwell needed.
Mix at hand hot tap water before application, not to hot though.

We too, use SPM or is it SMP  ;D Works a treat for most jobs. Like some have stated, spay, agitate rinse. Never had any issues with it.

how dirty of a job do people use this on before switching to something more powerful?

what sort of agitation do people use with this? For instance, will a Sebo duo be enough and is agitation the key?

find out yourself ..... You obviously don't want to answer the questions when someone wants to help you.. So work it out on your own.

Spm has percarbonate in it which does need a dwell time to work. They do say 10 mins but longer will be of benefit as the product is active for about 30 mins or so.
I think it is a superb product and use it on most jobs. You will get as good a result though using prochem pureclean and adding you own percarb. ie oxibrite or energiser etc. As for the repairing of the drier, I have about 10 truvox driers and I did buy a few replacement fans that worked out a lot cheaper buying a few at a time. The single cost of a replacement fan was about £80 + carriage which would have made repair uneconomical. The drieaze are the best I have about 10 of those and they have never needed any repairs and have been ultra reliable and a better performance than others. Worth paying a few bob extra.
