« on: April 22, 2014, 07:53:58 pm »
I've been using an NSS Mustang 17" machine for the last 11 years to bonnet-buff carpets. My machine is after giving up the ghost and I'm looking for some recommendations on a new machine and supplier. Any thoughts?

Base spec for current machine is as below -

Pad or Brush   17 in ( 43.2 cm), 20 in (50.8 cm)
Motor
Type   Permanent magnet, DC rectified
HP   1.5 HP (1100 watts)
Size   66 frame
Voltage   220-240V
Current   7.5 amps @ 240V
Gear   3-idler planetary
Pad Speed
High   300 RPM
Low   180 RPM

We use Oreck Orbiters for domestic and the 17" victor sprites for commercial work. 175rpm.

Pads we use these http://www.restormate.co.uk/epages/15094.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/15094/Products/0002k

I mainly use my Chemspec Chemstractor for bonnet cleaning, its quite heavy, well balanced and spins at 175 rpm and has a 50 psi sprayer on the front, so you just simply spray as you clean
