Yes they are a pain in the backside. Once you sign up with them they keep coming back to try and upgrade you!! Policy is alot of money, i have cancelled mine now, went with another that was recomended by Tradepro!!

LOL I just knew this company would be mentioned re insurance  ;D

A longgggggg time ago I was one of their "pesterers". Did it part time ( they didnt know I was part time)  ;)  I made a POT of money from it. Used to work from a script they had devised. Used it word for word every time and it worked.

What did my head in and made me leave was that you phoned in your figures.. and this was up till midnight.. they had someone who rang a bl**dy great bell over the phone to you and said... 20 a day the presidents way.   Apparently the owner of the company never stopped work in any day till he had signed up 20 NEW policies. That didnt include renewals or upgrades. You certainly had to have b**ls to sell that way. Thas one of thre reasons I find knocking doors for window cleaning so easy to do :)

Hi,

Yer, I had a policy with them years back, I did not renew it. Out of the blue one night one of their salesmen knocked on the door & before I could say "no thankyou" he was sitting at my table drinking tea & eating biscuits. I think he stayed for about 4 days in all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, had a customer who worked for that lot. Started talking about it every time before he paid me the money.

....passed it on to another window cleaner....

I feel ashamed!

Evening Everyone,

Andy, that makes two of us lol, however it was a good 12 years ago for me. 100 units first week in the field (got my trophy. lol), picked up endless prizes at the quarterly meetings etc. I was ripped off by my manager, so I left after 18months, then the Area manager begged me to come back, because they could not renew any of my policies, so I did for another 6 months and made a packet lol. I could not work to their American Sales script though Blah blah blah (say the joke now) blah blah blah.

My advice to anyone buying the policies, is to look at the small print, not everything is as straightforward as it is made out.

Many Thanks

Andrew

:-[ Now, I'm embarrased. I have a customer who works for CICA and he did sweet talked me into getting the policy. I too, have had trouble getting rid of these pests when they call round to get me to upgrade. They try every sales trick in the book to get that sale. The first thing they try is when you open the door they introduce themselves and ask if they come in whilst already stepping in to the house. I very firmly tell them where to go at that point!

I spoke to my customer (the CICA man) about it and he said to tell them to mark on my record card not to call again. I did that last time and so far, I haven't had a return visit.

Still get them knocking two years after I cancelled. I was first GOT whilst working and suddemly a bloke was at the foot of my ladder..... Every six months they come around, if yopu don't answer the door they come around the back and TRY the handle! I wont even listen to them now because of their attitude. I don't care how good the insurance is.
