A good canvasser will be £500 a week.

How much you paying him?

He says extra. So was assuming A He has work B He is doing leaflet drops.

£100 in first cleans is a not even a day.

Unless it's £6 a house  :-X

Good ole CIU.

Someone comes on feeling good about themselves so posts a positive upbeat post.

And without fail someone will be along shortly to drag you back into their sorry world of shortcomings

Well Done Jay, it sounds like you are exactly where YOU want to be with things.

This time next year Rodney!!!!  ;)

It was just a simple question?

OP may not know anything about canvassing. He could be paying a £1000 for a £100's worth of work.

I simply asked why a £100?

The Op states in his last posts he is struggling with work as his son quit. So is he still on his own? Has he taken someone on to help? If he has taking someone on, why is he only getting a £100 extra per week?

I posted a reply having looked at his previous posts as guess what he only has 20 or less posts.

To me that screams he is new at window cleaning, and may need some advice as like i wanted to know £100 is very little for a canvasser.

As it stands he has been going for around 8 years.

Before you get on your high horse, why not put your brain in gear.

just to clear up matters, I have been in the bizz for more years then I care to remember and at one point I had 3 vans on the road, I used to employ my son and another guy, my son now works over the docks and I sold one round plus van to the guy that used to work for me.

now its just me and my missus that work one large round but we want to expand on,
we employed a canvasser that has worked for me in the past.... I asked him to get me no more than £100 of work per week (my choice) so we can build it up until a point where we cant possibly take on any more,

his going rate is 2 times the clean (average for a pro canvasser)

and Pure H20..... for your info all the jobs he gets me are £20 or over a hit as Im not interested in £6 jobs for a house though I might be tempted to do one window for £6
mind you come to think of it I don't know of any houses that only have one window lol

as for a newbie to this bizz, well I suppose as ive been cleaning since the mid 70's it may make me a newbie

hope that clears matters up for you all

ps although I don't make many posts on here, I first came on CIU about 8 or so 9 years ago when I got into the interweb under a different name but I could not remember my password so I came back on using a new log in name
