I have been using Protect nano... like most water based protectors i find they are hit or miss especially when used on 100% synthetic material.
The thing is... how many of us return to the customers home after 24 hours to see if the protector has cured and is offering some form of water repellency ?

To me if a product is good the manufactures will put their reputation behind it.

Chemspec used to offer a warrantee programme that said if a stain didn't come out they would replace the carpet.

To me this is proof the stuff is good and why when it came to protecting my own suite I used stain shield

That's interesting.

I am currently testing this on a variety of synthetic fibres...

Chemspec used to be one of the few suppliers of protectors, that gave a point of sale leaflet that you could buy with the product and give to customers after applying protectors to materials. What it says on the leaflet is what it does.

Any protector is better than no protector!

In my view its a personal preference.

But as Russ has pointed out who does go and see if the stuff has cured and is working the next day.

Its a good idea to test a drop from every 5ltrs you get on a piece of kitchen towel to see for yourselves before you
apply it.

Its a good demo for the customer to see the repellent properties on kitchen towel, doing this sells it every time for me!

And NO! Simon don't go spraying the loo roll !!!!!!!!!!!

loo roll is made to throw away silly ;D

Angelo & Rosa

Why?

they are such a let down for your customers.

they dont top them up expect them to work one, two, five years later as if they had just been put down. and who are they going to blame when that stain does not come out?

Offer free spotters and one free fresh spillage emergence call out for a really small price valid for set period as an upsell, and you will get more value in repeat business. setting up this in the right way will make you more money backend than up front. we just set up a membership for our customers and manage it so the small amount charged to each will benefit all our customers.

each time you face the customer for a refill or callout you have a chance to sell. and if you manage the membership right you get paid for that visit from the membership fund.

Locking people into you, lowers your costs and in doing so improve bottom line.

Or, protect the carpet which is what the customer has asked for, make a gazillion times more than free this and free that and provide a service that we can charge for. Free free free = poor carpet cleaner, charge charge charge = Shaun
