Heavyweight rotary suggestions
« on: February 02, 2014, 10:17:55 pm »
I want a new rotary for hard floor work.  Needs to be heavy 40+kg and take extra weight if possible.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Mark

I like the wirbel, I've yet to use the klindex rocky. I will be purchasing on of the said machines at some point this year.
Jamie will you have a wirbek at the TACCA day?

Mike Philbin will have one at the TACCA day for his Demos.

The Rocky is a good machine and there isnt much between them in specs.

The only thing I prefer with the Wirbel is you can quickly add a horse shoe weight if required.

The Rocky weight kit has to be bolted underneath.

I've come across a Ghibli machine which has a good spec and can take weight.  They look very similar to a Wirbel.

Any thoughts on these.  Never heard of them until today.

Thanks

Same machine from same factory. There is a Karcher, Pallman and a Wolff variant also.

Is the internals the same as the wirbel or a cheaper version?

Thanks

There are different motor sizes.

Wirbels come in 1000, 1300, 1600 & 2200W

The 1000W is a very capable machine. If you are doing grinding and surface prep everyday then the larger models should be your choice.

The 1000W can still run weights easily.
