Hi guys, just wondering what lengths of hose you are running on a twin vac machines and how you get along with it?

I was running a 10m and 7.5m on my sx2100 but have now got a pfx1350 and im wondering if im over doing it or could be using more if needed.

Your probably around the usable length with those two lengths combined  , you could probably got to 75ft if needed but it depends on what your happy with yourself from an extraction and drying time point of view .  Keep it short as possible i suppose  . With shape and big wheels of the powerflite you should be able to drag it up stairs if needed id say .

Personally I think it's good practice (not that we always do it!) to keep hose runs as short as possible. Even with a lower powered machine reducing the hose run to the minimum possible and maybe adding an extra drying pass can make a difference to drying times.

I had to order a new solution hose for the higher pump pressure which came in a 15m length so I have a 15 and 7.5 m hose now. While I was at it i went for a new length of vac hose also.

I tried with the vac hose at those lengths today between jobs and did notice a considerable drop off (less noise/whistle) and the carpets didnt feel as dry as with 17.5m.

Hardly scientific I know but that extra 5m seemed to make quite a difference so I will cut the vac hose down to make 2 smaller hoses  so I can work the lengths down as I need to for optimal vacuum.

it is handy leaving the machine on the doorstep and I do find most of the time the dirtiest carpets are the ones within 7-10m of the front door anyway
