Evening all,
Have been learning how to do keyword research on google adwords keyword planning tool.
Am starting to get the hang of it and it has revealed some startling information.
If i,m correct, and I hope I,m not, acording to the keyword planning tool, the search term 'Rug Doctor' in all its variations gets around 600 searches in the Leeds area each month.
This compares with around 500 searches for other keyword variations of carpet cleaning in Leeds.
This spells out to me that one single company is getting over half the available domestic carpet cleaning work in Leeds i.e. Rug Doctor.
As if thats not bad enough how many customers just go direct to there nearest Morrisons and just collect a machine with out a google search?
Plus, the 500 odd 'other' carpet cleaning searches are all shared between the main players on the first page of Google.
So it seems to me that the inferior little Rug Doctor is punching well above its weight and is a real masssive marketing force.
And I reckon it gets worse, I dont even reckon that they are just hired by the bottom end of the market, I would not be surprised if every cross section of society give them a try.
The reason being they have nothing to compare it with, they have very little idea if they are getting a good, bad or indifferent carpet clean!
On a more positive note I wonder what the re-hire ratio is like?
Can anybody possibly check these figures in there own area to confirm that I,m not talking poope?
Im off for a lie down as I dont feel well
