Rainwater harvesting

Hi everyone. This water hsrvesting interests me. My question is how do u clean the water after its been collected?

through a D.I vessel to take it down to 0 tds.

Just strain the water somehow, a pair of socks in the pipe coming from gutters does the trick.

Wont the rain water be dirty? How do I make it clean?

Rain water will be typically 001-015 ppm.

You Havnt bought a Tds meter yet have you?

Atleast do that.
