If it has the vacuum we think it has then I'd van mount it and run a separate solution pump from the van battery, I read somewhere that you get a 250 psi water pump to work that was not sure about its litres per min though.

Im sure it has very good vacuum , but i still wouldn't expect miracles from any two motor machine  ...    now if you had four , two on each cord that would be something !

Id say you could put an Ashbys style 400psi pumptec in the turbo if you were determined ,  its just they probably cant go over 13amps or so per cord as a manufacturer , but the user could  ... its not like an extra amp will do much  .

The way i look at it this... most portables use similar motors and pumps, the real magic is in the design and construction of the body...
Ashby's, whether you like them or not have created a very well thought out portable machine which is as solid as a rock using high quality 5.7 motors instead of the 6.6's.
The attention to detail is what partly sold me the machine... integrated cable and plug management, a waste tank which empties everything due to its shape, recessed valves and controls, delayed motor start up for remote switch on,easy access to the motors etc.., sturdy lockable front casters, external silencer which does actually reduce air noise massively, shower proof body.

Unless Extracta has a machine which significantly out performs the competition i don't see them breaking any new gound.

I'm not 100% sure but when John put the pressure gauge on the waste inlet of the Exel it gave a figure of 18 inch mercury which when compared to the old machine looked to be about double could be mistaken though.

Vacuum alone is not sufficient. You also need airflow. Some of these readings are meaningless.

If your sure about that then it means the vacs are in series !   thats a departure for extracta  ....   but probably makes sense when the 8.4 has good airflow .

So it would have 18hg and about 140+cfm   .

Russ .   Agree , Enforcer is probably the overall best designed fullsize machine out there .

Gotta admire the old school quality build of the Excel too though  , they go to the trouble of a comprehensive switch panel with dials and gauges fuses adjustable heat etc ... when many just have a couple of switches .

yes i agree  ,    the CFM and lift figures measured at 2" open( cfm ) and fully closed (lift ) dont exist when cleaning .
A measurment taken when the wand is cleaning in the carpet is the only accurate indication  ... it a bit trickier to measure though .

No, but I've got a Scrubber here gathering dust and Rotary that needs to go back to it's owner.  :P  ;D
