hello all   I  have this driveway that I have been asked to clean think its some sort of cobblestone. Im not sure wot to use between the bricks  once i pressure wash should it be some sort of sand cement mix or gravel.think the gaps will be too big for kiln dried sand.   Your help is appreciated.

That block is plaspave rococo, done a few gaps are wide cause the blocks have wavy edges so dont lock tight, just use kiln dried sand. Ive done a few and sanded and put joint stabilizer on it. On my websire driveways picture 3 is one we did. Hope that helps.

Cheers Simon for advise gonna do more research before I take it on, as I want to get it right first time. Could  get more work  as. Lots of dirty drives nearby. Will check your site out too. Cheers

I use dry sharp sand on those - its more course than kiln dried and stays in the joints. Treat it the same as tumbled cobbles - it will take a lot more sand than normal block paving especially if you use a turbo rather than an fsc, keep it moving while you clean it .

Thanks .  I have two machines a karcher 745hds. Hot water  Honda gx390  21 l , I cant use my surface cleaner  for this job. Cos think it might be blocked. Even though pressure is good on  the Honda could be the pump so will use turbo on both. Which would be better? Wot kind of price  should  I charge for this drive its around 56 sq m.  Mostly blocks with. Less than half in slabs. Thinking 280 I'm based in Surrey.

 Hi    I spoke to the customer today and she wanted the sand  darker then it is out of the bag. Is there something I could  mix with the sand to make it more darker.    does the price of 280 seem reasonable to clean and sand this drive.   Cheers

280 seems  ok to me for 3 hours work over 2 visits. You aint gonna change the colour of sand dont even try!

Thanks again simon,   3 hours  thats a good estimate will be  first time cleaning a drive like, hope it all goes well, just needs to stop raining.  checked out your website good work. Will post pics of end result . Thats if I get the job.

Cleaning in the rain is so much better I pray for rain when cleaning. If its your first drive go in at 150 you defo get the job and treat it like a training day, you learn earn a few beer vouchers customer happy win win. Jut my opinion thats what I would do.

It's my first driveway with  these sorts of blocks .  Have done mostly block paved and slabs, but am fairly new to pressure washing  with only around 15 drives and patios cleaned.. only started  last June. Hope I get more this year round.  Think it's always good to ask for advise  before taking  on different types of  drives  .  Do you reckon I should charge less  to secure  this price will include fungicide spray before and weedkiller in summer if needed . Want to make good first impression

Paolo82, Pricing is always down to each individual, there are so many factors involved and varies around the country. If you want a serious stab at the job then as Simon says, quote your bottom line. The customer may still think it is expensive ! Ed
