Hiya varoius largish areas of plain wav on low pile needlecord, scrape and iron on brown paper as normal, have used hairdryer as well to avoid scorching, also poured boiling water and extracted almost immediatly on other jobs with varying success. Any one got a new revalation or method that will either be quicker or more effective. Thanks Simon

Not what I'm aware of, think you are stuck with what you've suggested. Doesn't need to be brown paper, just looks good, kitchen rolls better as it absorbs more of the wax.

A steam generator is the quickest method I know.
