I have a customer who has spilt nail varnish on her faux suede couch. Can anyone suggest a procedure to remove the nail varnish?

Normally something like acetone (nail varnish remover) or a solvent BUT be extremely careful in case the backing of the faux suede is latex because you will destroy it. Apply the product to the cloth sparingly and don't pour it onto the fabric itself. Just my thoughts as a starting point.

This is the dilemma .

I would try using acetone and isopropanol alternately but as Ian says very sparingly, maybe with cotton buds and pre qualify with customer the conundrum.

Just had one of those situations , tried acetone and it did not budge an inch.
Hope you get a better result

Wetting the area with water may possibly give some protection to prevent potential solvent creep. Like masking non colourfast areas with a solvent but in reverse.

Possibly... Just a thought..

Make sure you use pure Acetone NOT nail varnish remover as that contains oils and other additives.
