Advice: Which hose to attach to stand pipe?
« on: January 08, 2014, 12:58:28 pm »
Hi guys,

We do some truck/fleet washing, previously we were filling up an IBC tank kept at the customers unit & a pallet truck, but this is time consuming not to mention just a pain to do!

We have now got a stand pipe and running a hose into a 50 litre drum and just letting it constantly flow.

I'm wanting to get some good quality hose that I don't need to worry if people drive over,

I'd also be looking for a large length of it as we clean trucks for 3 companies in the one compound (circa 100meters from each FH or tap

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Hi

Im a cleaner/retained firefighter so maybe some fire hose may do the trick? Is the standpipe coupling 63 mm for standard instaneous coupling? Comes in 25 metre lengths so may need a couple of lengths. There is angus or delta who could maybe supply this. Very durable stuff so no need to worry about driving over it.

Just a thought. Hope you find some.

Cheers
