Stain Blocker
« on: December 23, 2013, 03:58:45 pm »
Was looking at a Rug Doctor Cleaning Solution and it says it has a Stain Blocker included.
Is there another HWE  chemical with stain blockers that we can use and how does it compare with stain protection

If its a rug doctor product there's a strong chance it'll be crap and not do what it says on the tin.

Releasit Punch can be used for extraction Cleanng and contains protector.

However for HWE it's quite a high dilution plus there are also detergents and polymer in there so it won't be as good as a post application of a dedicated protector.

The concentrations needed to leave enough residue whilst extraction makes it un economical to make it effective. I would be very suspicious of any product that you are extracting the greatest percentage, of offering any reasonable protection.
