All the lower windows in this pic (3 sets of doors and 2 small windows) keep getting loads of residue on them like hard water marks. She's had the builders back twice to clean off completely and we do the best we can with pure water/limescale remover (otherwise we'd be there all day!).

I'm wondering if its residue coming out of the sandstone above the windows when it rains? She has no idea where it's coming from.

Its only on these windows and doors - the rest of the property is fine.

Do you think spraying the sandstone/brickwork with a dry finish sealant would stop this?

Do the lower sections of the 2 small windows suffer the same problem - or just the top sections?
