Steempro pump issue
« on: December 05, 2013, 03:23:48 pm »
Hi guys,

I have a bit of a problem with a steempro 2100.

The pump isn't pushing anything through. The pump sounds as though it's spinning and to all intents working but I'm not getting any solution out of the other end. I have run it for about half an hour with an open end so I don't think it's an air lock.

Any thoughts??

Fran.

Hi Fran

Although the pump sounds like its working, it could be broken inside. I replaced the pump on my very old Prochem Steampro last year as although it was still working and pumping it kept leaking at the rear of the pump.

The cost was very reasonable and the service department at Prochem were very helpful. I would give them a call if I were you to seek their advice. And then you'd have the machine back in service quickly. Prochem's number: 020 8974 1515

Just my thoughts

Good luck Phil

What I do with mine to help it prime is stick an old connector on the end of my hose, pop it in the vac inlet and turn on both the vacs, sucks it through a treat, you may have damaged it running it for that length of time with no solution going through it.
I am going to try one of the induction pumps in mine in the new year
