The Americans use a similar business model to grow their portfolio, prices are at easy to buy at levels getting more customers mean quicker growth and when you have staff cleaning it means the owner can either manage the business or sit on a hot beach somewhere.

i have a tm and a porty from prochem, when i use the porty i feel im short changing my customers, the instant heat and the power of the vacuum on the tm cannot be beaten in my opinion, the drying is so much faster, you need to use one to know
thats not to say you cant do a great job with a porty
a porty is like having sex without an orgasm, the tm supplies the orgasm, ;D ;D
jesus!!!!

again you get all the opinions of portable users that have no experience of truckmounts giving silly excuses.
And the opinions of truckmounted people most of whom have one or more portables and many like me who have owned over the years countless portables.
Who do you think are the people to give the best advice?
Some of the porty users should go out with a truckie to see how silly some of their arguments and misconceptions are, it would also give you the opportunity to offer advice from a position of knowledge.

Find a user of a 6.6 portable and the best T/M you can afford and go and try both of them

Hi Guys

One of the biggest differences for me when going TM was that I stopped getting back pain, which was largely caused by trying to lift porties up steps etc.

Cheers

Doug
here here me only being 4,10 and 8 stone I found lugging my extracta exle up the stairs a pain in the back !! most blocks wouldn't lift them but I did guess that's what you get from living on a working farm

I can do just as good of a job with a porty as a can with a t.m. but its a lot slower a lot slower and the customer loves the t.m. better makes them feel good because next door had theres done buy a guy that had a little box thing ?? ;D

wow i am chargeing way to little at 35 pounds for a full suite ! it takes me 3 hours to do it   :'( i must move to a better place to get more money from this job

and befour you lot have ago ive been cleanoing for 15 years now and i am not a fly buy night  :( just if i started to quote anything over this i would end up with no work

Wow! You've come a long way since 2006!! Charging 35 quid a suite and now having 5 staff, multiple vans in different areas too. From this post, it seems you've shrunk by 2 inches too. Must be all that lugging portys about eh?

wow that took some reading  ;D ive been cleaning with a extrata ex. for years and find it hard to lifted the things around being a woman and only being 5ft tall so im looking into a t.m.

ive heard all the storys over the years and have seen loads of demos but i think the only way is too use one , or have aday cleaning with somebody thats got one , even if you have to travel to spend aday with that person which after the xmas rush i maybe on the lug to spend aday with someone if they will let me

Have to keep an eye on you, looks like you have all the secrets.  ;)
No still don't understand, I must be thick

disagree
70% of the job I have I use 50ft hose, 35% 75ft hose, 5% jobs longer then this.
so, how you see a difference between using machine in the house/outside the house with 50ft house and on the van with the same lenght of the house.

70% + 35% + 5% = 110%

Now that's a productive machine!
