Does this fit?
I was looking for motor brushes, didn't know Amazon did stuff like this.

That's a good price but it needs to be the bypass version i.e. no side exhaust horn.

Thanks

Let us know when you get one steve. I've got a grace and was lead to believe it has to be a peripheral motor that goes in it. The one I saw on woodbridge was £75 but wasn't sure if it was the right motor or not . http://www.worldwidecleaningsupport.com/spare-parts/vacuum-motors/power-vac-240v-5-7-3-stage-1400w-peripheral-bypass-vacuum-motor.html

I put one in my grace last yr from woolbridge think it less wattage than what's originally supplied with the machine. 1200w I think , going ok so far but hasn't had much use this year ,  I went through 3 motors from craftex in  2 years before they told me there was a faulty batch, so they credited the last one,

Terrible customer service from dealer clean care

The last one we had from craftex has lasted about 4 months, the trouble is they will always say its an operator fault rather than say the vac is faulty, & you will still have to pay for a new one while they "test " it, so theres no guarantee you will see your money again.

What gets me is if its so easy to damage a vac motor surely they're not really fit for purpose !

After all the questions you get asked, you would need to take the machine to bed with you to be be found not at fault.  :P

The way I see it is, the vacs are only guaranteed as long as you don't attempt to clean carpets with them  ;D

At circa £180 a pop it is a disgrace,  would never by a motor from  craftex again although they did credit the last one, my dealer  Cleancare told me with regard to the first two , that if I sent them back and it was found that it was operator fault that I would be charged for their time,

As you say, guaranteed for everything except cleaning carpets,

If these are just hanging upside down inside the motor section ..  and the hot exhaust air is shared with the motors cooling intake then its a really bad design .

The advantage of the Tangential type is that the exhaust heat can be easily vented to the outside by a tube  ... and the top of the motor should be (plastic side ) should be drawing in cool air .

Fitted the vac from woodbridge today in the grace, its a tiny bit longer thanbthe original but still fitted ok and works fine.

Am surpised at the lack of peripheral bypass motors compared to the tan ones.

Not fantastically cheap, about £100 with the vat & carriage, but still cheaper than most others.
