Advertising in local free paper!
« on: November 19, 2013, 09:06:53 am »
I wouldn't normally do this but a friend of a custie that works for the paper phoned me offering a three week special deal at £48. So for that I went ahead.
This week will be the third week but so far I've had 7 new custies which is worth £90 a month plus had a one off conservatory/roof/facia clean on top £75. So so far so good I say!

Anyone else advertise in their local paper?

Which paper?

I did it years ago with the Ad News and picked up jobs all over the place. Guess it's good for big jobs such as conny cleans, but would mean regular jobs wouldn't be compact. I ended up dropping off much of the work as it meant lots of driving.
Where am I knocking today?

i have done quite well out of it and have gained fairly compact work .

goes out once a month to 10000 homes , however you do need to be on the front page to get good results and it depends on competition in the area .

The results have tailed right off now though after 5- 6 months .

Its called the Stourbridge news which is delivered free to every house within 4 miles of Stourbridge where I live so not much chance of getting work outside my area.
