RO System - in from the cold!

Hi all,
Being new to wfp, just asking when you should consider bringing the RO system inside? Its starting to forecast frosty nights now and so just aware that the frost can damage the filters etc.
Mine is in the garage, so can possibly put an oil heater in there when its necessary.
Anyway, any views appreciated from those who have been through a winter or two.

Mine is under my kitchen sink small hole drilled through wall for product and waste gos down the washing machine waste pipe.. no problems  8)

how about putting a wall mounted thermometer next to it in the garage ?
( my ro is indoors anyhow as I am in a flat )

My ro mounted in my garage and stay there all year round I just wrap it up with old bedding never had a problem

Inside the garage I would be very surprised if it got below freezing.
If you're worried you could always wrap a tank blanket (Wickes £5 or so) round it or put some bubble wrap round it.
I've had mine in my shed for 10 years, got caught out twice in that time, but I do live in the South so not as cold as some on here.

I've got a oil heater in the garage next to the ro and di, and one in the van to stop poles, hose reel, pump freezing. Have them set to frost protection so they come on as soon as it goes below 5 degrees.

Well its been there 3 years and no problems, plus i have those inserts on the fittings so tube cant be pulled out. do you not think your tubing is popping out because ice is forcing it off?
sounds like it if its in the shed.
mine is in the warm

And dont forget these small R.O.s are for drinking water and commonly mounted under the sink/taps.

Agree, that's why I suggested a wall mounted thermometer at least you can monitor how cold it gets in the garage and decide if you need to take further measures, you may not need to.

well I never said its impossible , but it depends on a lot of things like where you live and what your garage is like. ;)
