I allso would like to work out what is the best way to work with my wife.
she wants to come to work with me just a few days a week.
i have been experamenting with a 2 way valve on microbore. run from a 100 psi pump.
it works well but the flow rate is low.
does anyone know of a pump for wfp that will feed 2 poles through 60 metres of microbore hose with a high flowrate.
she can then follow me around and do the bottoms with a light pole while i do the tops.

It would not be practical to split the flow after the microbore hose reel as the flow rate for microbore is not enough to then run two poles from one reel.

The way to do it is to put a splitter beofre your hose reel and then run 2 hose reels from it. One of our set-ups is just like this, we have a flojet 60psi pump a splitter running 2 reels of 60m of microbore, perfect flow rate full flexibility.

Hi Jonathan,

I was in a hurry to modify the battery arrangement at the time, so I bought a cheap plastic, stanley type tool box with a hinged lid for about £4.00. Cut 2 slits in the side and pushed it over the 2 lugs on the front of the trolley and slid a piece of wood inside to keep it in place. Then altered the wiring to accomodate the new battery. Whole job took less than an hour once I had all the parts. It is not the best place to put the battery because of the extra weight on the front, but I do not use it that often and I normally only use one 25L container which I put at the back of the trolley. With the leisure battery I do not have to worry about running out of power as it will last 2 days easily and more.

Derek.

I see what you mean alexg.
I have done this with my other van.
Except i run two pumps.
1 for each reel.
1 operative works out the side the other out the back of the van.
This works well when you have houses close together.
But i want to work two of us on 1 house without triping over eachothers hoses.
Maybe i should look at adapting a trolly system to run two poles.
Or is there 1 that does it allready.

I forgot to add  Cymry    The Welsh

I come from North Wales and use Welsh as an everyday language , English as an occaisional one, so my spelling isn't all that hot.
Sarah write what you want in English with your pic and i'll try and translate it into Welsh for you.

Thanks Derek,

I thought about where best to put a leisure battery as my wee jump-starters are starting to lose their charge much quicker.  Sounds like a good Idea to put it on the front hooks. The balance of the trolley is always going to be difficult no matter where it goes.
Thanks again for advice,

Jonathan

HHmmm.  dont ask Jeff,

Looks as if we are going to build one with a 25ltr vessel.  Hubby thinks that if we have one with a decent level of water it can be used as a back-up if the Omnitrolley breaks down.

Going to buy a leasure battery from Bristol Batteries at £56 + Vat (sealed lead), Williamson pumps have quoted me £65 + Vat for a 100 psi pump and  put it together ourselves.  Oh dear - I see trouble on the horizon. LOL

Just need to get prices on the 4ft pole, hose and connections.

Have to speed it up as we have just landed some local council work worth 4K during the next year and will require 2 people on site.  More work for me - less time shopping.  Life's hard for us women dont you know.

Will post pictures when its done but dont hold your breath, could take a few weeks to get the welding done to the trolley.

Sarah, Mayah is only 4ft 10" and manages fine with a surflow backpack on a shopping trolley frame.
I connected 20ft of 6mm bore hose  to cut down on the time spent moving it. She uses a small unger pole, to this I connected the backpack trigger. I used the same connectors as I have on my pole so that I can use it where access is dificult. She fills it herself too, if I'm not looking. Believe me the backpack has speeded her up no end. It's also more than doubled our water consumption.
