every monthly ? what if your on a 4x weekly schedule so thats 13 times per year cant u do it every 4 weeks instead of monthly

From what I understand I'm gonna just request payment after each clean then there will be no confusion if I'm late due to weather or holidays.

It takes seconds to request, I honestly think that i will request all the days payments in the time it would normally take for one house to go hunt for some money.

And as we will hopefully do less collecting during the day we will clean more windows, or get home earlier, for me it's a no brainer and I hate technology......but I hate collecting more and it'll also help the cash flow.

its an excellent payment option - we explain to customers its a Direct Debit BUT not fixed on a certain date (as your window cleaning date can change due to bad weather etc) when we clean we leave our card as normal, we then claim payment that evening or within 3 days, every time you claim a payment (it takes seconds to claim!) the customer is automatically emailled by gocardless, to let them know that payment has been claimed and that it will be debited from their account in X amount of days - so gives them a chance to move any monies in if they need to - when it is due to land in your account - go cardless send a email the day before to say that £XX has been paid out - its in your account within 24 hours from that email. So from when you claim till it lands is about 7-9 days - but once you get going and get more customers on this payment scheme it rolls nicely.

No fees to set up and 1% per transaction.

I like the idea but for guys like me who run multiple vans I can see it being a headache each night having to go through the days work sheets, see who is on the list and needs to pay this way then logging on to request payment for maybe dozens of jobs.
Or am I misunderstanding how it works?

I have multi Van guys and what I do is at Start we say 'We will take payment on Xth of the month' which means on GoCardless you set customer to take payment on Xth day of the month and it is all automatic.  I have most them paying the last working day or first working day of the month and it works fine.

For one-off payments we do DirectDebit but on Job Sheet it has different Cover Sheet just so we know what is what! but for One-Off I try get paid via Chip n Pin Termials or Cash or Cheque.

When I move over to Computer Based system in 2014 It going to be easier as I got API for when a Job Completed and they got a DirectDebit we add it to there account and we request it Now or Request it at set date.

In Short - It saves LOADS in Admin and Paperwork.

Paypal is 3.4% plus 20p per transaction, ive got loads of customers who do this! Would save me a packet

why dont you just add the fee on top of the window cleaning so customer pays the fee and not you

I run multiple vans and can't wait to start using it, ideally I'd want to get everyone doing it. The beauty of it is that I'm in control of collecting the payment and I'm not waiting for th to pay online. Well worth the 1% fee in my eyes, think how much my cash flow will benefit
