Van Signage
« on: October 18, 2013, 07:28:11 pm »
I have today scrapped by vehicle after having 3 years of complete trouble with it.Clutch went at a very busy junction at 9am - not a good time!!!

Anyway I'm picking up a Berlingo estate on Wednesday. Its just as big as a small van but more versatile for other journeys.

My question is can you get signs for the windows that will allow me to see out but not allow someone outside to see in?

Is there a name for such things

If you can are they expensive?

Hope this makes sense.

Yes 3M make it but don’t use the rear wipers, don’t think they are aloud on window screen or drivers/passenger side windows and a tad bit more expensive oh you can see in when your nose is pressed against the vinyl  ;)

I know the Police up in Scotland will pull you over for it.

I had a pal who was a joiner and had his stuff on the windows at Rear window and he got pulled over as it obstructs his view and as the car was designed with a rear window it would not be safe to reverse and etc,  Me personally thinks it rubbish as I drive a van with no rear windows and it can be hard to reverse with blind spot.

Best bet is to speak to a sign writer and they often know.   Plus have a look at maybe getting the car wrapped instead of the cheaper versions of letters.    I got Van Wrapped and it is just soooo Much better!
