 ???

The council wouldn't make a complaint via the telephone.

How the heck would the council know what chemicals you are using?

I think someone is winding you up.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

The council guy called and invited me to come into their office and when I asked what it was about they said it is about the chemicals you use and then I said well come out and see what I do.    He did not want to come out but just said I send a letter but I have a funny feeling who tried to report me and I think it a fellow Window Cleaner after I got few his customers.

@Ian101 - I always say 'It is the same water that you would use to wash your dishes up with'

I was chatting to a falkirk council guy a few years back, and he said he got all sorts of strange complaints about window cleaners, he was the licensing guy though, but the vast majority of the calls were a complete nonsense, what department of the council did he say he was from, environment?

It was Edinburgh Council and was Public Health.  Yea I could image a vast majority of calls the council get are complete nonsense.

However letter basically said we can do nothing but just so we can say we spoke to you, here is a letter.

No it wasn't . I make sure he's not in now when I change my resin in his garden . Use his outside tap to rinse it all out as well .i find it's better than using my own drain .

People are funny , I have a local who likes to make things difficult
For me but I just ignore it , I work hard , I never cause problems
For others....help people where I can, you will always get someone
That dis likes you and what you do , can't do nowt about that.
My immediate neighbour grows their tree and bushes so they
End up in our garden, I asked the husband to cut them back to
Boundary . They didn't so I did and took waste to the dump except
What fell their side...... They threw what landed on their side
Into my garden and knocked on door and started shouting at
The wife about leaving rubbish in their garden ( it's their tree remember)
I explained such but now they refuse to talk to us and let trees
Grow wild , and believe it was them that phoned council about me trading
As a window cleaner from home ?? Expecting a call from water board soon.
This was all about the fact that I did them a favour and spent a whole
Day cutting back their over grown tree and some fell on their side.
Some people are just cruel , ignore them is my advice inc the council. It has
Nowt to do with the council.

Did you know the council can do nout from you trading from home and if public visit all you need your public liability.  But I know water rules in Scotland than England as our water board is government.  But I check it out and got told as long I do not use excess water I am fine.
