Dont argue with a retard, they will just pull you down to their level and beat you with experience.

have you tried follow up phone calls, if the letter reached the correct person than when you ring them they might know what you are talking about. but like d woods said you have to send out loads to get anywhere, its a numbers game!! try ring up a few and see if they last least recieved it.

Hi Marcus,

The biggest problem with any campaign to get new business is that it generally requires a follow-up call to jog prospective customers memories .

For most people that  is the worst part of marketing/selling.  I did post a script sometime ago as I was asked what to say during this follow-up call but cant find the link.  Will keep looking though and modify this post when I find it.

The first batch I sent produced two jobs and I have just got a contract with our local authority for a total of  £4K for 2006.  I have been chasing this particular one since last October when I initially sent them the same letter.

Another 30 went out today which I will follow up in about a fortnight.

Hope that helps,

Sarah

Its on page 2 Marcus.  Its only the bones and you can add so more if you need to but should help if your not used to canvassing for business by telephone.
