SEO websites question
« on: September 25, 2013, 02:50:37 pm »
My current site does very well locally but i now want to do better further out is it a good idea to have two or three sites  made the the same wordpress theme same contact number and business name etc but with area specific text and content to get a better web presence in the areas targeted.

It Would only cost me time over the winter months because the package i have allows me more than one website.

Thanks Paul

You can add area pages to your current website that are landing pages, not pages shown on any of your menus. A bigger site with more unique content will often rank better than a few small sites.

I can't find any info to back you up mate. A decent wordpress plug-in and some research on Google and you'll be flying.

Landing pages aren't great for google anymore & neither are multiple small websites. Its a much better idea to expand your existing website & use different geographical keywords on the new pages,..

You can't transfer Google rank.  Wish you could.  I have done exactly same,  built a total new website for new area I'm covering.  Will work at getting a better ranking in winter months.  ;D
