I earn £20.00 per hour average and am up north so its very decent to be honest :)

Aslong as your in good profit thats all that matters.... some people work different to others.... but my prices are very fair aslong as am happy and the customer is happy that is the main thing :)

Gavinb you may have higher priced houses but your monthly takings in total would be lower then mine... but ill be working more for my money and i dont mind that mate :)

I do agree with hourly rates btw. But if he increased all his houses by £4 and got the average up it would make his life easier.

So how many customers do u think would stick with him if he increased prices by over 50%?

Depends what the 'going rate' is round his way.
If the going rate is a tenner & that's what he's now charging, he'll probably keep most of them.
He could lose nearly half and be 'up'
I'd do it.

Well done.
Don't take any notice of the smart alecs and snide comment merchants on here.
What you will probably find is you will fill your diary, and then increase your prices later.

I'm pretty confident that when you have done a couple of years you'll look at some of the prices you charged at first and think 'That wasn't enough' but hey it's a learning curve.
If you don't charge enough you will chase your own tail and not make much money, but it takes time and in the meantime you need to pick up work.
Keep knocking you'll get the work.
£20 is better than a lot of jobs, but you need to make a decent amount to cover you when things go wrong, or you get ill or the weather is crap for weeks.

All the best
A manager is generally someone who has been promoted to the position by someone else who didn't see them as a threat.
Hence all people are promoted to the level of their incompetence
