All I know is people who get results focus on the things that make the biggest difference and get on and do it, they don't arse  about with things that make minimal difference sometimes requiring even more time and effort to implement. This applies to most things not just getting the phone to ring.

It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

you need to read it again

"The World’s Biggest Carpet Cleaning Forum Twitter" Its a tongue in cheek statement poking fun at forums

look up the term "aggregation" thats the type site it is. the feed comes from my twitter acount and back to twitter from the rss feeds into the site. just waiting for the author of the plug in I use to allow me to use other twitter feeds but I think twitter does not like that idea at the monent

Now look up "curation" and "automation"

now you have what its about. sure I dont have as much time as i would like to put into the curation side. I find what I think is a good example of content and use their rss feed so you now have one place to see whats good. saving you the time searching them out

its a tool for your use.

why do i have to keep defending my stuff that has nothing to do with the post? Buzz is just a fun idea

And BTW i disagree why this is happen with most SEO experts they thinks its google's way of controlling them. my view is its more about restoring trust with its users with regards this NSA business. thats why the searches are encrypted. and because they are under orders from the NSA they cant tell us whats going on.

One guy in the USA had a site that encrypts and the NSA wanted to get access so he just shut the site donw now he is in trouble because he has taken away a tool they wanted. In short users would think their stuff was hidden but the NSA would be able to read it.

From google's point they are gagged. so they need to drum up support what better way of doing it? unrelated to us? not really apart from this issue about keywords but wider yes government spying on us, and lets not forget our spooks are in on all this.

now to answer the question

you will not know in the future what is working or not if and will not have the data to build your pages.

OK, at the moment i have two pages on my sites that are trending at the moment. they dont bring in income but something more important in the SEO game and thats hits and hits add to you position. now the knock on effect is because of that position i get a chance at more income locally. plus it adds to my sales funnel

Just like the platform and device issue you cant put all you hopes in one page one site. by having this network of pages you control your own links in to your main sales pages. so my trending pages can now be linked to a sales page that will get the hits juice for it. without the search keyword data i dont know what the intent is. prospects are not always at first looking for the answer you provide but just options, and then move on the their choice of answer. data is important to you meeting this process.

keyword tools dont work because they are cherry picking whats working worldwide and at the top of the silo or keyword funnel, and its the longtail that more important and can have a cumulative that matches any top ranking keyword. when you up against a top keyword the time spent is much more time than what you can spend on the longtail and your get much better results

I thought thw whole idea with curation was to add your own comments and interpretation (before and after). If you you just have feeds on your site then surely, it just becomes an indexing service?

Is it me or has google search engine gone wacky

There was another update (hummingbird) recently. The Birmingham results seem a bit skewed towards directories and such like at the moment.

It looks like they are trying to get away from single phrase searches and concentrate on whole sentence searches (the good old long tail?).

They have apparently, been buying up technology firms that have developed predictive technology. Maybe we are moving towards voice activated searches?
